Bid on Holiday of Lights items Dec. 4
The Gift Garden, Greene County Medical Center auxiliary’s gift shop at the medical center, will be open to the public for holiday shopping on select Saturdays during the season. Starting Saturday, Nov. 20, the Gift Garden will be open a total of four Saturdays – Nov. 20, Dec 4, Dec. 11 and Dec. 18 from 12 to 4 pm.
“The decision to open the Gift Garden was made with the community in mind,” said auxiliary president Sue Rieder. “After being closed to the public for almost two years, the holiday season provided the perfect time to let the public back in, even if for only four days.”
The Dec. 4 shopping day is also the day the public can bid on items in the auxiliary’s Holiday of Lights. The public can bid on a variety of decorated trees, wreaths, and baskets all made by medical center staff, auxiliary members, and community members.
All visitors will be screened upon entrance to the Gift Garden and will be required to wear a mask. Shoppers must follow medical center visitor guidelines and will not be allowed into clinical areas.
Persons who have questions about the auxiliary Gift Garden or the Holiday of Lights can contact Greene County Medical Center Foundation and community relations director Nancy Houska at 515-386-0108.
